Submission Process and Evaluation for Authors

1.0 Editorial Process Overview

  • 1.1 Initial Assessment: All submissions undergo an initial evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief to ensure alignment with the journal's scope in scientific innovations and inventions and to verify compliance with basic submission standards.

  • 1.2 Peer Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are assigned to handling editors and subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts in the field.

  • 1.3 Desk Rejection: Submissions may be desk-rejected without full peer review if they are out of scope, lack originality, have serious methodological flaws, or do not meet the journal's ethical and formatting standards.

2.0 Author Responsibilities Prior to Submission

  • 2.1 Permissions: Authors are solely responsible for obtaining and providing written permission to reproduce any copyrighted material included in the manuscript, such as images, figures, or extensive datasets not created by the authors.

  • 2.2 Authorship Consent: All individuals listed as authors must have consented to the submission, approved the final version of the manuscript, and agreed to be named as contributors.

  • 2.3 Ethics Approval: For any research involving human participants or animals, authors must provide a statement confirming formal approval was granted by an appropriate institutional ethics committee, in accordance with all applicable national and international regulations.

3.0 Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors must verify that their manuscript meets all of the following criteria:

  • The submission fully adheres to the style and formatting requirements outlined in the AJSI Author Guidelines.

  • The manuscript represents original work, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by any other journal.

  • All references and in-text citations have been meticulously checked for accuracy and formatted in the Vancouver style.

  • All figures and tables are numbered sequentially, embedded in the text, and include clear, descriptive captions.

  • Necessary permissions have been secured for the use of any third-party material.

4.0 Structuring Your Submission for Success

  • 4.1 Title and Abstract: Craft a concise and informative title that accurately reflects the content and innovation of the research. The abstract should be a self-contained summary that clearly states the problem, methods, key findings, and the significance of the innovation.

  • 4.2 Study Design and Argument: The manuscript should present a logically structured narrative. The research objectives must be clear, the methodology must be robust and reproducible, and the discussion should convincingly articulate the novelty and implications of the invention or discovery for the field.
