Ethics and Malpractice Policy for the Axis Journal of Scientific Innovations (AJSI)

The Axis Journal of Scientific Innovations (AJSI), published by AXIS EXPLORATION AND ACADEMICS (PRIVATE) LIMITED, is unwaveringly committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. This policy delineates the core responsibilities and expectations for all parties involved in the publishing process: authors, editors, and reviewers.

1.0 Responsibilities of Authors

  • 1.1 Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must guarantee that their submitted work is entirely original. All sources of information, data, and ideas must be appropriately cited. Plagiarism in any form constitutes unacceptable academic misconduct.

  • 1.2 Data Integrity and Access: Authors must present an accurate account of the work performed and an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data must be represented honestly without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. AJSI encourages authors to provide public access to their raw data where feasible.

  • 1.3 Exclusive Submission: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is considered an unethical publishing practice and is prohibited.

  • 1.4 Conflict of Interest: All authors are required to disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could be perceived to influence the results or their interpretation in the manuscript.

2.0 Duties of Editors

  • 2.1 Fairness and Objectivity: Editorial decisions on manuscript acceptance will be based solely on their academic and scientific merit, relevance to the journal's scope, and rigor, without regard to the authors' race, gender, nationality, or institutional affiliation.

  • 2.2 Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must hold all details of a submitted manuscript in strict confidence. Unpublished materials must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.

  • 2.3 Vigilance and Misconduct: Editors have a duty to act if they suspect ethical misconduct; they shall pursue allegations diligently and take all necessary steps to ensure the integrity of the published literature.

3.0 Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • 3.1 Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions. Reviewers should provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to help authors improve their manuscripts.

  • 3.2 Confidentiality: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.

  • 3.3 Alertness to Ethical Issues: Reviewers should be alert to potential ethical issues in the manuscript, including any substantial similarity or overlap with other published work, and must immediately bring such matters to the editor's attention.

  • 3.4 Disclosure of Conflict: Reviewers must decline to review a manuscript if they have a conflict of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors or institutions connected to the paper.

4.0 Addressing Allegations of Misconduct
AJSI takes all allegations of publishing misconduct seriously. We will follow established COPE flowcharts in investigating any such claims, which will be treated with confidentiality and due process. If misconduct is substantiated, appropriate corrective actions will be taken, which may include retraction of the published article, a formal notification to the authors' institutions, and a prohibition on future submissions from the involved parties.

This policy is designed to protect the integrity of the scholarly record, promote a culture of ethical research and publication, and sustain the trust that the public places in scientific innovation. AJSI requires all participants in the publishing process to adhere to these principles rigorously.
